Sleep Awareness Week® Campaign Archives

During the National Sleep Foundation’s Sleep Awareness Week®, our community focuses on what it means to have Narcolepsy.

#WUNSleepSlogans

This campaign was all about creating an impactful Sleep Slogan in 10 words or less!

#NarcolepsyInSixWords

Brought in 2024 by popular demand, we asked the community again to describe Narcolepsy in just six words!

#SLEEPonThis

In 2023, we asked the community to show us what their Narcolepsy looks like. The responses we received showed us how different each story is.

#NARCOLEPSYinSIXwords

Ernest Hemingway once won a bet by writing a short story in six words, so we asked people with Narcolepsy to do the same thing. The responses remind us how strong this community is, and why we feel so confident in the future of Narcolepsy research, education, and treatment.

#GoodAtNaps

For Sleep Week 2021, we asked people with Narcolepsy to share their experiences with naps, as well as helpful tips and tricks that work for them.

#WhenIWakeUp

In 2020, our campaign highlighted the daily realities, routines and struggles. We received submissions from peers and caregivers of all ages, describing the different experiences each person has when waking up.

#BeYouWakeUp

In 2019, we started the #BeYouWakeUp campaign to bring awareness about people with Narcolepsy. Inspired by the words of Brene Brown, we asked those with Narcolepsy to describe what it means to #BeYou.
