This is Grace — Shes says, ” I am an army brat who loves animals. I have always felt that having Narcolepsy makes me a stronger and overall better person. I don’t let Narcolepsy define me. I was diagnosed when I was 9 and I’ll be 18 in May. I am a blue belt in Gracie Jujitsu (which I find funny because my name is Gracie). I have 3 dogs their names are Holly, Ollie, and Annabelle. Holly is my comfort animal and when I have hallucinations she helps me know that they are not real. She and my other dog Ollie can both sense when I have a sleep attack. They help me through it by not leaving my side. I want to share my story with others and educate them about Narcolepsy. I don’t want people to feel sorry for me and think it’s the end of the world, even though it’s not easy to live with, it’s not impossible. I’m an animal lover, an army brat, a middle child, a warrior, and I have a big heart.”
