Coming Soon! Wake Up Narcolepsy is Expanding our Online Support Groups

Wake Up Narcolepsy is excited to announce that starting June 21, 2021, our online support groups are expanding and transitioning to a new platform, HeyPeers!  We will continue to offer our current support groups plus some new groups that you can read about below.

What is HeyPeers?

HeyPeers is a community of partner organizations, independent peer specialists and peers gathering to support one another.

It is a video and chat room app that allows people to join support discussions with others who are on a similar life journey. The chatrooms and live video-based meetings are provided and led by qualified peers – people who are certified or licensed. Every user can browse, join or schedule peer support connections anytime, anywhere from any device.

What does this mean for you?

We believe you and our community will benefit from transitioning to HeyPeers.

  — It will broaden your support experience to include chat rooms, diverse offerings of support group meetings and one-on-one coaching sessions.

— You can choose a subscription option with HeyPeers that offers the “My Journey” feature and other tools to help you keep track of your mental and emotional health.

Here Are Our New Support Groups

The support group for 13-17-year-old teenagers with a diagnosis of narcolepsy focuses on relevant issues such as symptom management, school, friendships, exercise, health and diet. Attendees are welcome to bring their most pressing concerns to the group for peer-to-peer support and will be facilitated in the discussions by two young adults with narcolepsy.
