“This plain language summary describes findings from a survey study called the ARISE study, which was done to better understand how idiopathic hypersomnia affects people. Idiopathic hypersomnia is a rare sleep condition that makes people extremely sleepy during the day, and can cause them to sleep longer at night and make it hard for them to wake up fully. The ARISE study looked at the symptoms that people with idiopathic hypersomnia experienced, how they felt about the treatment for these symptoms, and how idiopathic hypersomnia affected their daily functioning and quality of life.”
