WUN Wins Competitive PATH Award

WUN would like to thank Harmony Biosciences for awarding the 2020 Patients At The Heart Grant (PATH) to our organization in support of our new COVID-19 Emergency Response Initiative. Harmony Biosciences have been supporters of WUN’s programs and events since 2018 including the 2019 PATH grant for our annual pediatric camp. The competitive PATH program was developed by the Patient Advocacy team at Harmony to provide tangible and timely support to the narcolepsy community. Recognizing WUN’s innovative response in providing supportive resources and educational content for the narcolepsy community during COVID-19, the award comes at a time when many non-profit organizations are deeply concerned for ongoing funding of vital patient programs.

“COVID-19 has been very challenging for us as a community since many people with narcolepsy already struggle with a profound sense of isolation. It is incredibly important that patient advocacy organizations pivot to provide new resources given the longevity of COVID-19 and its potential effects on mental and physical health. Our hope in creating new programs, and expanding our existing digital support groups is to continue to provide meaningful, content-rich, and relevant resources in a timely manner. Like Harmony Biosciences, our patients are at the very heart of what we do and are the reason we strive to alleviate the challenges that both adults and children with narcolepsy face every day, and every night.
