DESCRIPTION:Join us for an educational afternoon featuring guest speaker Robyn Porpiglio\, NP\, a range of Narcolepsy perspectives and advocacy information! All are welcome. You won’t want to miss this opportunity to gain valuable insights\, enhance community understanding and connect with others. Refreshments will be served. \nRSVP here! \n \nRobyn Porpiglio received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse\, NY. She has been a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioner’s since 2011. Robyn has worked in sleep medicine since graduation\, first in conjunction with Pulmonology\, then Cardiology and now in a specialized Sleep Medicine practice since 2015. \nRobyn currently works full-time at Ghaly Sleep Center in Syracuse\, NY diagnosing and treating patients (5+) with a variety of sleep disorders.  Some of the most common disorders seen are: sleep-disordered breathing\, insomnia\, hypersomnias (narcolepsy)\, sleep-related movement disorders and parasomnias.  She is also the Clinical Supervisor for Sleep Insights\, which encompasses 5 locations across Central/Western New York\, supporting and managing the Advanced Practice Providers and clinical staff. \nThank you to our sponsors: Jazz Pharmaceuticals & Takeda Pharmaceuticals! \nLearn more about WUN Town Halls here.
