Narcolepsy Inspires WUN Team to Run For A Cure in Boston

2017 Team WUNners Prepares for Boston

On April 17, 2017, Wake Up Narcolepsy will have a team ready at the start line in Hopkinton to run the prestigious Boston Marathon as part of the John Hancock Boston Marathon Non-Profit Program. This will mark the eighth consecutive year that WUN has entered a team to run in order to increase awareness about this severely misunderstood and misdiagnosed medical disorder, and to raise money for research.

Since 2010, Team WUNners has raised more than more than $400,000. As in the past, this year’s funds will be donated directly to narcolepsy researchers working to gain a deeper understanding of this serious medical disorder in order to improve the lives of those suffering from narcolepsy.

Wake Up Narcolepsy Boston Marathon 2016We are deeply grateful to our dedicated team members who work tirelessly to both train for this historic athletic event, and reach out to friends, family and colleagues for support. This year’s team includes Jenna Brady, Claire Carlson, Diane Sweet and Mark Wright.

We are also  grateful for the generosity of our donors, many of whom have supported the mission of Wake Up Narcolepsy since the beginning. Through the untiring efforts of our Team WUNnners and our supporters, we are able to help speed narcolepsy diagnosis through greater awareness and provide research funds for improved treatment, prevention and a cure.
