Gordon Gow, Chair, of Toronto, has extensive experience in large corporate environments as well as with smaller and start-up enterprises at both the Board and operational management levels. He has a solid background in raising capital in venture markets and in public markets with a unique understanding of the most senior levels of international, federal and provincial governments. With a track record of success in launching companies and building and coaching strong management teams, Gordon has strong administrative and “people management” skills. He is an enthusiastic and aggressive self-starter, and is highly motivated by challenge and opportunity.
Kevin J. Cosgrove, Deputy Chair and Co-founder, incorporated Wake Up Narcolepsy, Inc., together with David and Monica Gow, in November 2008. Diagnosed with narcolepsy in 2006, Kevin felt there was an unmet need to promote and foster education and awareness about narcolepsy through charitable fundraising events. In 2009, he was honored with the National Public Service Award from the Narcolepsy Network at its 24th Annual Conference for his efforts to expand education and awareness about narcolepsy. He is Area Manager with Castle Biosciences, of Boston, where he also lives. With over 10 years of pharmaceutical sales experience, he has consistently ranked at the top among his peers.
Raymond De Rise has extensive legal and compliance experience in the consumer health-care, pharmaceutical, and medical-device sectors. He has held leadership roles with Systagenix Wound Management, KV Pharmaceutical, and Glaxo SmithKline (GSK). While at GSK, Mr. De Rise was part of public-health initiatives involving smoking cessation and weight loss. While residing in St Louis, he also served as a board member of Sickle Cell Community Advocates Inc. Mr. De Rise has spent the last six years living and working in a number of cities, including St. Louis, Pittsburgh, London, and most recently Boston. He holds a JD from Fordham Law School and lives with his wife, Debra, in North Andover, MA.
Laura D. Fabrizio, of East Grand Rapids, MI, brings over 15 years of marketing, fundraising, and volunteer experience to WUN. In 2009, Laura and her husband, Patrick’s, youngest son developed narcolepsy and cataplexy. Over the last few years they, along with their two daughters, have worked tirelessly to raise awareness in the educational setting and community. In her current role as Account Manager for Troy Abstract and Title, she leads expansion of the organization to the West Michigan market. Ms. Fabrizio has been active in the community, serving on the pastoral council and strategic planning committee for her parish. She holds volunteer positions in a variety of capacities with the local school, including academic boosters, and baccalaureate and graduation activities. In her spare she time enjoys reading, needlepointing, and traveling.
Julie Frasher, of Raymore, MO, Corporate Workplace Strategist, has 20 years of experience creating innovative real estate strategies and alternative workplace solutions. She has worked directly with executive leadership and managed global real estate portfolios in various industries. After graduating from Leadership Overland Park (KS), Ms. Frasher served on the Board of Directors of Friends of Johnson County Developmental Supports from 2008 to 2010. Through this experience, she cultivated a passion for increasing community awareness, improving patient supports, and collaborating on successful fundraising events.
David Gow, Treasurer and Co-founder, of Worcester, MA, is a partner in Ernst & Young’s New England Private Capital Group. Dave has more than 20 years of experience working closely with private capital and venture capital firms. He has extensive experience in areas such as investment fund accounting and reporting, asset valuation, partnership accounting and evaluation of internal controls. David and his wife, Monica, became motivated to bring further awareness and education to the narcolepsy community when their son was diagnosed in 2008.

Wake Up Narcolepsy Staff
Monica Gow, Executive Director & Co-Founder, oversees strategic implementation of the WUN mission. She has 10 years of experience in the insurance field, is a certified elementary school teacher, and is the mother of three children. Monica and her husband, David, were motivated to bring awareness and education to the narcolepsy community when their son was diagnosed in 2008. In 2010, 2011 and 2012, Monica led the Wake Up Narcolepsy Boston Marathon team, running with speed and dedication, and raising remarkable awareness and research funds.
Kathi Wagner, Chief Development Director, oversees WUN’s strategic fundraising and other philanthropic initiatives, including grant writing, major-donor and planned-giving programs, direct-mail outreach, event support, and stewardship activities, as well as national volunteer leadership recruitment, and database and policy development. Kathi has more than 20 years of fundraising, marketing, public affairs, and non-profit management experience in healthcare and environmental organizations.
Kenneth McDonnell, Communications Director, brings to the post a broad range of expertise in marketing, corporate communications, and media relations. Ken’s background includes work in social services, higher education, computer technology, and electric energy.
Jeffrey Stough, Business Consultant, has over 30 years of business experience with a wide range of responsibilities, from president of a small start up to vice president with a Fortune 500 company. In these organizations he has focused on project management, revenue cycle, account management, new product development, and energy-related incentives. This diverse background enables Jeff to manage projects that encompass varied disciplines and communication styles. The ability to communicate on all levels, combined with his strong project management skills, is a proven combination for his clients.
